Tour-Chapter 1.1 and 2

OK!  Thanks to all for the feedback…it helps!  It would seem you guys would like to peek at a few trinkets now and then and I’m all for it…I’ve tried to incorporate several of your ideas, so I hope you likey.

I’ve updated the Tour page so that I can nest each room under it…it will now serve as a table of contents kinda page, even though it’s all there on the right sidebar.

I’ve also updated the Living Room and added the Entry.

We’ll see how quickly I can add the other rooms since I’ve got a packed week coming…but I’ll try to keep adding in the next few weeks..it’s the cleaning that takes the longest people…I got kids.

The Tour pages don’t allow commenting for some reason, and I can’t figure out how to change that…sorry!

The new tour is so fun with all your commentating! I should take a photo of my honking doorbell so you could have a good laugh and make fun of me for leaving it like it is for 5 years…you know I’m going to try (steal) your clever idea with the small art display.

I LOVE that you didn’t just rip up your Parquet floor! That refinish looks sooo good! Did you just stain over it or have to sand it down.

Your stairway made / makes me nervous. I don’t have kids…but I have been know to come home drunk. No (outside) handrail seems like an accident waiting to happen. And the handrail on the wall had me fooled for a little minute. I had to click through and read up on it. I thought it was a piece of vintage lead pipe with (yikes!) chippy lead paint. It drives me nut when I see pics of houses with intentional chippy (lead?) paint and kids in these High Design blogs like AT or DesignSponge. My girlfriend is a teacher and I have heard all the stories about kids with problems that stem from lead.

Mod-It had to be sanded down, but it could handle it! The railing is on the To Do list http://modfrugal.com/2010/01/to-do-interior-railings/ My kids are old enough, but I can’t have toddlers over without blocking off the whole area and it’s something we know we have to address.

hey, how about a piece of box art (with holes so bells can chime through) to cover your doorbell on smallartwall?
