Yes. That would be me. My FB and Twitter followers knew this was coming. I got an early present.
Are those the same chairs I moaned and pined for here? Because I live in a smallish town, and there can’t be THAT many people with these hanging around…They are the very ones I saw at my mall that were not for sale. Turns out, I met the awesome owner of these beauties who runs the vintage clothing section of the mall, and she’s downsizing.
Now wait, you say…do you NEED any more chairs?
Why, that would be NO.
Where will you put them?
I don’t know, but I think they’d be great in front of the fireplace…take up less visual space, and if I powdercoat them white….(you roll eyes and stop listening)
So why buy them, you don’t need them and you don’t have a place for them?
This is where sensible people say..”you’re right.” and walk away. NOT ME.
Because….look at them! They are fabulous! So much cooler than Bertoias, and I NEVER see them, and….and, I’m a chairaholic and I need help…but AFTER I buy these…K?
You walk away in disgust…rightly so.
I start singing.
The only info I’ve managed to get is that the outrageous pair on e-bay (linked above) were bought in France and made in 1970. I’ve also uncovered the possibility that they are vintage IKEA! If anyone knows for sure…shout.

I completely understand the chair obsession. Did I really get a larger dining table to have more chairs? Yes I did.
Actually what drew me to your blog was your fabulous collection of outdoor furniture! These are no exception. Equally fabulous and completely justified.
Thank you! I need fellow addicts as enablers to make me feel better!
hello best early Christmas present ever!!! they are truly amazing!
Those are so cool! The sheepskins really complete the look. Are they comfortable to sit in?
I was worried about their comfort before I sat in them, and so far, they are deceptively comfortable!
Nice!
I too have an unhealthy addiction to chairs.
But so what!? They’re beautiful AND functional! So I keep collecting!
Those are not chairs. Those are glorious sculptures, sent down to earth from the angels up above.
I actually like the original iron look, though…
I like the iron look too, but they have some rusty spots and paint spatters to hide…spray paint black or powdercoat white are what I’m debating, but they will stay as is for awhile…
heh, heh, heh:))))))
Oh, you can never, ever have enough chairs. These are rockin’! I’ve seen something identical once at the thrifts with an IKEA tag on it and regret passing it up. They look soo good in your home. Powdering them up in white sounds fabulous.
Thanks for popping by earlier on my blog, I’m loving yours!
Ah ha! So IKEA confirmation! Thanks for stopping by!
MORE CHAIRS!
Chairs are the most delicious of obsessions. And yours are the tastiest of all!!! Gorgeous!
