Flea Market Friday

I have not posted a flea market trip in forever…I still post the pics on my Instagram when I go, but this is a long overdue post with some pics included that never made it to IG. I have not been able to go all Summer and it was making me sad and restless. So the day I finally get to go is a swampy, sweaty, humidity-fest with a heat index of over 100. But we did it. My girl LJ and I hit it like champs and suffered though with only our lemonades to soothe us.

Here’s what we saw. The photos aren’t great today – must be my sweaty hands slipping on the phone!

These crazy hanging side tables (with the red flower lamp to boot) had marble slabs that fit inside the brass frame-definitely craziest thing I saw today!

Flea Market

Friday was rainy and a lot of vendors didn’t want to play, so I waited until Saturday to hit the flea. Here’s a recap of what I saw…. You can see all my other trips to the flea HERE.

I picked up this $10 lamp for a friend whose new house is going to get the Modfrugal zhush treatment. We are excited to get started as soon as the boxes are unpacked!

I really, REALLY loved and wanted these elves, but not for $60…..

I would have loved to pick up another one of these to make mine a pair, but these felt like flimsy knock-offs. They were overpriced too.

So what did I get? Well, after the flea I also had a Craigslist appointment, so I added to my finds with a waterfall console. I know our Craigslist can be a tough one and after Emily Henderson’s Nashville CL review, this felt like a much needed win!

But I had to paint the kitchen ceiling instead or rearranging the house when I got home…boo!

But the switcheroos have started and the house is in crazy flux. Lots to do today. Until next month!

Flea Market

I’ve been naughty and have not blogged the last couple of flea markets – all the photos I had taken ended up on Instagram and it just seemed repetitive, but I will post photos of this month’s excursion. It was a BIG one, as September always is, and I had a special guest with me – my MOM!!!Â She is in town for the weekend and this was her maiden voyage to the Nashville Flea Market. We flea’d until we dropped. (I’m making up that fake word as of today, someone had to do it – you’re welcome.)

We didn’t actually get much, but we saw all sorts of wonderful things.

I loved these rugs a LOT, but not the size I need, and out of my current budget.

If there’s something you’re looking for, chances are I’ve come across it at one point or another. I’ve been doing some “picker” work for a few people lately, so if you have a request – send it my way and I’ll let you know if I see it.

Flea Market Friday

I had to do a speed flea this month since the kids were out half day for the end of the school year. I finally got together with the talented Ben Corda, who moved up this way last year, and showed him my favorite vendors at the Nashville Flea Market. Next time we hope he has room in his car!

This lady was hanging out with her live rooster, you know, as you do….

I did get one thing….

The orange pleather is torn in the back, but will be a great project since the chrome was in such nice shape. It’s an All-Steel chair that has a Hannah/Morrison for Knoll vibe I like.

Flea Market Friday

It was a great flea…one of the biggest of the year. Hopefully, it will clear up so I can go back Sunday!

Nice Homecrest collection here…..but….

I did get one thing…well actually 2, you know I have a weakness for pairs.

A pair of vintage butterflies. They crave my love.Â I need to get the ones I already have powder coated, so I’ll throw these into the mix. We have gotten to the point where we almost exclusively sit in the butterflies when hanging out on the deck. I’m starting to consider selling some of my Homecrest since it requires cushions, and with no covered porches, it’s just a hassle.Â Especially given the increasingly rainy Nashville climate.

There has been zero movement in the pantry situation, but I have managed to rearrange half the house again, so I now need to re-shoot pretty much everything.

Friday Flea: #Speedflea Edition

Yes, I know it’s now WEDNESDAY that I’m finally posting this, but this is the first time I’ve had to sit at the computer since the flea. Good flea..nay, GREAT flea. I would have loved to stay and forage for hours, but as it was..I had a little over one hour to see and split.Â It was very cold, so my frozen fingers snapped as much as I could for you..most of these were posted on Instragram in real time.
