WHO? A gal, her Crafty Counterpart and her kids, Thing One and Thing Two. Recent transplants to Nashville, TN.

Just to be clear: I’m not a writer, photographer, or designer…just a gal who doesn’t fear the fugly.

WHAT? A 70′s modern home, still in the 70′s…but not in a good way. Needs some serious TLC.  There’s LOTS to do…and for once, we’ll have some photographic evidence. This started as a simple renovation diary, but also became a place for my bookmarks, so to speak..before Pinterest arrived and sucked us into another online wormhole.

As for furnishing this place… I’m pretty cheap. I love scrounging for vintage modern bargains, fixing up junk, and sharing what I learn along the way. If nothing in the house is overly precious, then I don’t waste energy worrying about the kids ruining it. Inexpensive doesn’t have to mean boring, though…you’ll see!

When I buy cool stuff I can’t use, I will sell it – most recently at the Blogger Tag Sale. When I find stuff I think you should buy…I put it on Twitter.

WHY? We have big plans for our new digs, and we’ve never had pictures from past renovations.  Most of our family and friends are far away, and when they were asking for photos, it made sense to direct them all to one location.  This, however, has proved futile.  I am still expected to provide “hard copies” of certain photos…Yes, I mean YOU.

So, can we make this place groovy?  I don’t know, but we’ll have fun trying!
